How Do I Find My Tool?

That's a great question! There are usually two "use cases": 

 

Use Case 1: I have a part number and need to re-purchase the same tool. In that scenario, Pilot Precision offers three paths:

1. We have QR-coded labels on our packaging that take you to the product in our Digital Catalog. From there, reach out to one of our Regional or National Distributors listed on our websites.

2. Go directly to our Digital Catalogs:

  • For the tools made by duMONT minute man, Hassy Savage, Magafor, GMauvais or duMONT CNC, visit PilotPrecision.com
    1. Select the brand's logo at the top of the site to go to that section of the digital catalog.
    2. OR visit ecat.pilotprecision.com
    3. Search for your item using the search icon on the top menu
    4. Find the product you are looking for
    5. Request a quote

    1. Click on the search icon on the top right.
    2. Type in your part number.
    3. Add to cart
    4. Click on “Convert to Order.”
    5. Click on Request a Quote or click on Convert to Order (if you already have an account)

3. Call your Concierge: As your Tooling Concierge, we use our expertise to understand your complex machining applications and recommend the right tooling. Use Case 2: I do not have a part number. I need to purchase the best tool for my application. In that scenario, Pilot Precision offers three paths:

1. Go to PilotPrecision.com or PalbitUSA.com

  • Search by application
    • Find Your Tool
    • Repeat the process above

2. If you can’t find a standard tool, and/or are looking for a custom tool design (Broaches, Drills, Slotter…) look to our RFQ forms on PilotPrecision.com or PalbitUSA.com depending on your application. Fill it out as much as possible, add a part print if possible, and send the package to your Tooling Concierge. We’ll design and quote the proper tool for you.

3. Call your Concierge: As your Tooling Concierge, we use our expertise to understand your complex machining applications and recommend the right tooling. At Pilot, we leverage our technical knowledge and business relationships to connect you with five of the world’s most respected brands of broaching tools, spot drilling, reaming, micro-drilling, and indexable turning/milling/drilling.
